ABOUT CLAIRE

The Horse
Behind the Logo

The Darnell Dressage logo is inspired by Claire's Grand Prix horse, Calimar.  The Darnells acquired Calimar as a 2-year-old in 2004, and Claire and 'Mark' traveled the country together until 2016, when he was retired from competition due to a hock injury after an outstanding first year at Grand Prix.  He is currently enjoying a much-deserved retirement in beautiful Washington State.

Calimar inspired Claire to pursue dressage as a profession, and she will always consider him her best friend.
