Odilon Sollenburg – Top FEI Prospect by In Style x Fidermark x Ferro
Odilon Sollenburg combines expressive movement, proven bloodlines, and excellent rideability, making him a top candidate for riders with competitive goals. Ideal for a Junior or Young Rider, or as a future FEI horse in a professional’s program, this 6-year-old gelding has the quality and foundation to progress confidently through the levels.
Odie has three quality gaits, a modern uphill frame, and a charming, people-oriented temperament that makes him a barn favorite. He has competed at Training and First Level with scores to 72.2% and is currently schooling all of Third Level with a green change each way. He has started pirouettes and has a natural talent for piaffe, showing serious potential for the upper levels. He hacks out, handles the show atmosphere well, and has even been ridden by a capable teen — making him suitable for an ambitious Amateur or Young Rider in a program, with the quality to interest a professional.
Odie’s sire, In Style, is a direct son of Eye Catcher, the two-time bronze medalist at the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, known for passing on his expressive, correct movement and rideability. In Style adds swing, balance, and trainability to his offspring, making them a favorite among both professionals and amateurs.
Odie’s dam, Zantana Sollenburg, is by Fidermark out of a Ferro mare and comes from the highly respected Sollenburg breeding program in the Netherlands. Zantana has consistently produced quality sporthorses with talent for the FEI work, and her offspring are noted for their character, powerful hindlegs, and strong toplines.
Her oldest son, Harrold S (by Vivaldi), is the 2022 USEF Developing Grand Prix Champion, has earned multiple USDF Horse of the Year titles from Training Level through Intermediaire II, and has competed successfully through CDI Grand Prix. With his exceptional talent for the collected work and incredible work ethic, Harrold has become an outstanding example of this damline’s potential.
Another son, Matthew S (by Geniaal), was the 2024 USDF Region 3 Fourth Level Champion, Reserve Champion USDF Horse of the Year at Fourth Level, and earned scores to 73.9% at Prix St. Georges at just seven years old. He is now preparing for his international Small Tour debut and schooling all of the Grand Prix at home, showing the same scope and trainability as his older brother.
