Claire received Matthew S, the 3/4 brother of our super Harrold S, as a very special birthday gift from her parents in October 2020. We are so in love with his golden character and tremendous talent. He competed in the FEI 7yo division and at Fourth Level during the 2024 winter season, and recently made his Prix St. Georges debut with all scores over 70%! In 2021, Matthew competed at Training and First Level with scores to 78%. He finished the year as the KWPN Horse of the Year at First Level, placing fifth in the overall USDF Horse of the Year standings. He is now schooling Inter 1 and playing with all of the Grand Prix movements.
Matthew is sired by Geniaal, a beautifully built and powerfully moving horse. He breeds very strong foals with positive attitudes similar to his sire Vivaldi, as well as high withers and great canters. In his first group of foals, Geniaal produced the foal champion of the Netherlands. His competition results have been exceptional, having already won the VHO trophy in 2020; he is a sire with great talent. In 2019 he was selected for VHO-Trophy Ermelo, placed 2nd in the Prix St. Georges in Uden with 76.10%, and was the winner of the Prix St. Georges in Bodegraven with 73.38%. He also placed 2nd in the Dutch Champions Kür with 78.73%, was the winner of the Dutch Champions 1st part Prix St. Georges with 76.42%, and was also winner of the Prix St. Georges in Heeswijk Dinther with 70.96%. In 2018 he was 2nd place in the stallion competition for 6- to 7- year old dressage horses in Zuidbroek and Ermelo.
Grandsire Vivaldi, sire of Harrold S, was proclaimed ‘Preferent’ by the KWPN in 2018, and is one of the most sought-after sires in modern breeding. Vivaldi is a proven producer of elegance and type. Under saddle, he exudes charm with incredible movement. Vivaldi was reserve champion of his stallion performance test and in 2007 he won the PAVO Cup for five-year old dressage horses with Hans Peter Minderhoud. In 2008 and 2009 Vivaldi won the KNHS/KWPN stallion competition with scores up to a perfect 10.0 for trot. Vivaldi is trained up to advanced dressage level.
Dam Zantana Sollenburg, also dam of Harrold S, competed in Z2-level dressage and received the KWPN sports predicate, EPTM-dressage. Zantana is sired by the legendary Fidermark out of Onyx by foundation sire, Olympic Ferro.
