2016 KWPN GELDING (DESPERADO x WYNTON x FERRO) BRED IN THE NETHERLANDS BY AD VALK
Limoncello was imported to California in mid-November 2019 after being lightly started under saddle in the Netherlands. He is now confidently schooling First Level and showing huge talent for the upper levels. He has offered a clean flying change each direction, and has very lightly started half steps. He is a barn favorite for his lofty gaits, correct conformation, and charming character.
Limoncello is sired by the top International Grand Prix stallion Desperado (Vivaldi x Havidoff x Ferro), who is currently short-listed for the Dutch Olympic team, scoring to the high-70's in the Grand Prix with impressive placings. Desperado offspring possess appearance and size with three good gaits and have a good and cooperative character.
His dam, Dabola (Wynton x Ferro x Darwin), is a top producer; Limoncello’s full brother, Mooiman, impressed at the 2020 KWPN Select Sale in Hertogenbosch, selling for a final price of 90,000 Euro. Another full brother, Indian Jones, was developed through the FEI levels at Helgstrand Dressage. Damsire, Wynton, was also a successful International Grand Prix horse under Madeleine Witte before being retired to stud in Canada.
With his outstanding pedigree, top rideability, and sweet disposition, we are confident that Limoncello will be an exciting FEI horse for the future.
